Cookie Policy

How cloudpire.co uses cookies and browser storage, and what that means for you.

The short version. Cloudpire's own website uses one item of browser storage: your dark/light theme preference, saved in localStorage. This is not a cookie and contains no personal data. Third-party services we use (Cloudflare, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies for operational purposes.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to site owners.

Cookies are different from localStorage, which is a browser feature that stores data locally on your device without an expiration date and without being sent to the server on every request.

2. What Cloudpire's Website Uses

Browser localStorage (not a cookie)

KeyPurposeData StoredExpires
cloudpire-themeRemembers whether you selected dark or light modeThe string "dark" or "light" — no personal dataUntil you clear your browser data

This item is set only if you actively click the theme toggle button. If you never interact with it, nothing is stored. It is never transmitted to our servers and contains no personal information.

Strictly necessary cookies

Cloudpire does not set any strictly necessary session cookies of its own. The website functions fully without any cookies being set by us.

3. Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services used on cloudpire.co may set their own cookies or collect data independently. Cloudpire does not control these cookies.

ProviderPurposeCookie TypeMore Information

Google (Fonts)Serving web fonts. Google may log requests to fonts.googleapis.comPerformance / OperationalGoogle Cookie Policy

Cloudflare — As our hosting and CDN provider, Cloudflare may set a __cf_bm cookie for bot management and a _cfuvid cookie for rate limiting. These are strictly necessary for security and cannot be disabled without affecting site access.

Google Fonts — We load fonts from fonts.googleapis.com. Google states they do not use font API requests to track users or serve advertising. However, your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Google servers when fonts load.

We are actively working to self-host our web fonts to eliminate this third-party dependency entirely.

4. What We Do NOT Use

Cloudpire does not use:

  • Advertising or targeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Analytics platform cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, etc.)
  • Session recording or heatmap tools
  • Cross-site tracking mechanisms
  • Affiliate tracking cookies

We have deliberately chosen not to deploy any analytics platform at launch. This means we have no visitor tracking, no page view counts, and no behavioural data about how you use the site.

5. Managing Cookies and localStorage

Clearing localStorage

To clear the theme preference saved by Cloudpire's site:

  • Chrome: DevTools (F12) → Application → Local Storage → cloudpire.co → delete the cloudpire-theme key
  • Firefox: DevTools (F12) → Storage → Local Storage → cloudpire.co → delete the entry
  • Safari: Develop → Show Web Inspector → Storage → Local Storage
  • Or simply: Clear all browser data in your browser settings

Managing browser cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:

Blocking or deleting Cloudflare's security cookies may affect your ability to access the site. Blocking Google Fonts cookies may cause the website fonts to fall back to system alternatives — the site will still function correctly.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. Because Cloudpire does not use tracking, analytics platforms, or advertising cookies, DNT signals do not change our data collection behaviour — we do not track you regardless of this signal.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we add analytics, advertising, or other tracking mechanisms in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated before those changes take effect, and we will provide appropriate notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
